Courage in the Balance

Courage in the Balance reimagines urban elegance through a daring fusion of dance and architecture. This striking black-and-white fine art piece captures a ballerina atop a Manhattan rooftop, her tulle tutu suspended against the iconic New York skyline. Shot with the dramatic contrasts and bold perspectives reminiscent of Helmut Newton, the image balances raw power with delicate grace. The low-angle, full-body composition amplifies the dancer's pensive presence, while Ilford Delta 100-inspired tones create velvety shadows and luminous highlights. Ethereal lighting sculpts the scene into a timeless moment where ballet's poetry confronts the grit of the city heights.
