Along its snow-banked edges, bare birch trees stand patient against a sky the color of pale linen, while dark conifers anchor the hillside and a weathered split-rail fence traces the contour of the land. Early Thaw captures the quiet, in-between hour of late winter — when the cold hasn't quite released its hold, but the valley is already listening for spring.

Rendered in a classical oil-painting style with echoes of 19th-century Russian and Eastern European landscape traditions, this work from Jay Bryant Ward's BRUME collection speaks in muted taupes, sage greens, deep forest tones, and icy whites. Layered mountain ridges dissolve softly into fog at the horizon, giving the composition a sense of depth that draws the eye inward and slows the breath.

Fine Art Paper

Printed individually with care on premium, heavyweight 230 gsm archival-grade acid-free matte paper. This fine art paper features a luxurious, smooth finish with bright whites for accurate, high-contrast color reproduction and ultra high resolution. Our unique Instant-Dry coating resists fingerprints and smudging, ensuring vibrant, rich colors.

1/2" White Border is added to aid with framing or matting.

Additional options available upon request.

Rolled Canvas

Meticulously printed on thick archival grade, poly-cotton blend canvas. Our archival canvas allows for vibrant colors and is pH neutral and acid-free (will not yellow over time).

1 inch white border is added for stretching or mounting.

Custom options available upon request.

Gallery-Wrapped Stretched Canvas

Gallery-wrapped stretched canvas uses the same high quality canvas as Rolled Canvas canvas but mounted over 1 1/4" kiln dried pine stretcher bars. The image is extended and wrapped to show on the sides for a clean modern look.

Ready to hang! No need for a frame.

• Sawtooth hanging hardware installed

Optional Upgrades
• 1.5" inch thick stretcher bars (*required for all following)

Stretched Canvas with Float Frame

Same high quality gallery-wrapped stretched canvas showcased in a distinctive wood float frame. Available in Black, White, Silver, Gold, Natural/Oak, or Walnut/Espresso.

IMPORTANT: Float frames add ~ 1 1/2" to the Image Size.
(Example: a 16 x 20" with a float frame would be ~17.5 x 21.5" inches finished size.)
