Rider of the Golden West

Jay Bryant Ward's Rider of the Golden West captures everything the American West stands for — grit, freedom, and the burning beauty of open country. Rendered in a rich oil-painting style, this vertical portrait places a broad-shouldered cowboy at center stage, dressed in a weathered cream linen shirt, fringed neck scarf, and a wide-brimmed tan hat. His leather gun belt, ornate silver buckle, and holstered revolver speak to a life lived on his own terms. Behind him, amber and orange flames of a canyon sunset sweep across sweeping mountain terrain, bathing the scene in golden light.

Whether displayed in a home office, study, ranch great room, or lodge, this print commands the wall with quiet authority. A natural fit for serious Western art collectors and anyone who appreciates bold, figurative Americana.
